Overview

These private Morocco tours of 8 days from Fes will take you on an enjoyable experience in Morocco. You will travel from Fes to Marrakech. First, you will discover the Medina of Fes and make an excursion day to the blue city of Chefchaoune. Then, via the Atlas Mountains road, you will cross over the largest forest in North Africa, the Cedar forest in Azrou, and you will reach the famous sand dunes Erg Chebbi in the Merzouga desert. Also, you will spend one night in a camp before you leave for Ouarzazate the next day passing over the impressive gorges of Todgha. You will explore the fortified Kasbah of Ait ben Haddou before your tour end in the red city of Marrakech.

Day 1: Arrival day – Start your Privat Morocco Tours

You will be transferred to your hotel or riad in Fes upon arrival. Depending on your arrival time, a private tour of Fez can be arranged. Return to your Riad and enjoy dinner. You will spend the night in your Riad to be ready the next morning to start your private tours in Morocco. 

Day 2: Discovery tour of Fes

After breakfast, a private guided tour to discover Fes. Your local guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the most attractions and must-see sights of this ancient city. Visit the golden gates of the Royal Palace, stroll through the Fes E’lbali (Old medina), and see Medrasat El Bou Ananias, Nejarine Fountain, Karawin Mosque, one of the most essential Islamic cultural centers and home to Fes University (the oldest university in the world), Moulay Idriss’s Mausoleum is to be discovered. Of course, we cannot forget the Mellah, a Jewish quarter of Fez, the tannery quarter, and the crafts guilds. A delicious free lunch will be served on the day. At the end of the day, an overnight stay awaits you.

Day 3: Fes – Journey to the Chawen – Fes

After breakfast at the hotel, depart for a short journey to the famous city of Chafchawen through the fertile valley of the Reef. When you arrive at the blue city, a private guide will take you to the sights of Chawen, the Old Medina, and Ras Elm. After you visit this wonderful city.

Chefchaouen is a small town in north-western Morocco, located 600 meters above sea level at the foot of the Rif Mountains. Its name is often shortened to Chaouen, meaning ‘horns’ in Berber, in reference to the Kelaa and Meggou mountains that tower over the town. Not only is the town beautifully situated on the mountainside, but it is also characterized by its narrow streets and whitewashed emerald-blue houses. This unique character has earned it the nickname ‘The Blue Pearl.

You will then drive back to Fes for overnight and dinner.

Day 4: Fes – Midelt – Errachidia – Erfoud – Mezouga Desert (Erg Chebbi)

On the third day of your private tour in Morocco, after breakfast at your hotel, visit the beautiful town of Ifren. Crossing a cedar forest, where you will meet the Barbarian Monkeys and take photos in this wonderful landscape. Then, you continue to reach the town of Midelt, where you will have lunch. After the lunch pause, we will drive to Errachidia, Erfoud, and Rissani, the gateway to the desert. Upon arrival in Erg Chebi, in the Merzouga desert, we will take a camel ride and go on a wonderful journey to explore the most spectacular sights in the desert and also to attend the panoramic sunset over the dunes. After this unforgettable experience, you will arrive at your camp in the heart of the desert. Spend the night under the magical starry sky. Your tours in Morocco are incomplete without the desert experience.

Day 5: Merzouga Desert – Todra – Ouarzazat

On the fifth day of your Morocco tour, you will have the opportunity to attend the breathtaking sunrise in the early morning. Back at our camp, we will have breakfast and then head to Palmeraie Rissani, an ancient imperial city and the birthplace of the current royal family. We then drive to Todra Gorge, one of the most beautiful landscapes of the trip. We will have a lunch break while visiting the Todra Gorge and then continue along the ‘Kasbah Road’, a series of earthen fortresses, towards Ouarzazate, known as the African Studio. You will have the opportunity to visit the Ouarzazate studios. Dinner and overnight stay here.

Day 6: Ouarzazte – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

After breakfast around 8 am, you will head to visit the Kasbah Taourirt, the former residence, and harem of the Pasha of Marrakech, with a local guide. The journey continues to the famous walled city of Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Because of its traditional and gorgeous architecture, Ait Ben Haddou was a perfect filming studio for several internationally successful movies such as the Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, Game of Thrones, etc.  Lunch will be served at one of its beautiful traditional restaurants. You will then continue to Marrakech, where you will stay overnight and have dinner in a hotel or riad.

Day 7:  Private guided tour of Marrakech

On the sixth day of your tour in Morocco, and after breakfast in your hotel or riad, you will take a guided tour of Marrakech to explore this charming city. You will have several visits: the Menara Gardens, and the Koutoubia Mosque (admission for non-Muslims only). Let yourself deep in the beauty of the Bahia Palace, it was built in 1900 as the most magnificent and largest palace in Morocco: 150 rooms, many richly decorated with floral paintings and sculptures, Several gardens with orange trees, palm trees, pomegranates, etc. A giant courtyard measuring 50 by 30 meters…

Explore the heart of Marrakech “Jemaa-e-Fna Square”, the busiest square where most of the locals hung out. In the afternoon, the square gets full of Storytellers, Musicians, Snake-charmers,  Traditional Hana makers, Kiosks, Sellers, etc. And at night, you may love to have a coffee on a terrace overlooking the panoramic view of Jamaa El-Fna. Also, you shouldn’t miss strolling the Old Medina, the Jewish Quarter (Mellah) of Marrakech, and to relax in the Majorelle Gardens. Return to your hotel or riad by the end of the day.

Day 8:  Marrakech – transfer to the airport

The last day begins with breakfast and, depending on the time of your transfer to Marrakech airport, free time, an optional private tour of Marrakech. The end of our service and the end of the Morocco tours.
