Itinirary
Day 1: Fez – Midelt – Merzouga
8 am, check-out from the hotel in Erfoud, gateway to the Great South, through the Middle Atlas Mountains and Ifrane. Continue on to Midelt. After having our lunch, we continue to Merzouga, along the Middle Atlas road. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Merzouga.
Day 2: Merzouga surroundings
Journey by 4×4 vehicle through the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Visit the Berber villages, the M’fis mines, and the oasis. In the afternoon, take a camel ride through the dunes and discover the mystery of the sea of sand. Enjoy the silence of the desert and the beauty of nature. Watch the panoramic sunset. Spend overnight in a bivouac in the desert under the nomadic tents at the foot of Erg Chebbi dunes.
Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Fez
After sunrise and breakfast, depart for Fez via Errachidia, Ziz valley, Midelt (lunch), then through the Middle Atlas, Azrou village, Ifran, and Immouser Kandar. Later, we take the road back to Fez. Arrival in the late afternoon around 6 pm.
