The Program of the 2 days Agadir Desert Tour:

Day 1: Agadir – Taroudant – Taliouine – Taznakht – Draa Valley – Agdaz – Zagora

Leave the Atlantic city to embark on a desert trek with an overnight bivouac for an unforgettable desert crossing in two days.

The first day begins with a transfer from your hotel to experience the Agadir desert tour. We will then travel from Agadir to Zagora, passing Taroudant and Taliouine, the saffron capital, and Taznakhet, where we will visit several Berber villages. Stop in Taliouine to learn about saffron and the local Berbers. Then lunch on the way to Tazenakhet with delicious Berber gastronomy.

Cross the Darra Valley, a long river formed by the confluence of the Dades and Imini rivers. Arrive in Zagora for a camel ride into the desert with beautiful scenery at sunset to meet the staff of the desert camp and spend the night in the desert to the sounds of Saharan musical instruments.

Day 2: Zagora – Agdz – Taroudant – Agadir

The next day you leave Zagora. After breakfast, you will drive through Agdz to Agadir, passing through spectacular scenery and amazing sites.

Arriving in Agdz, a small town in the center of southern Morocco overlooking the Atlas Mountains, you will experience ancient Amazigh architecture with ancient kasbahs. Also visit Jbel Kissane, famous for the shape of its tajine dish. The meaning of the name Agdz is ‘resting place’, a well-deserved name and a place for a short lunch break.

After lunch, you will reach your accommodation in Agadir via Taznakhet. You can ask the driver to stop if you want some fascinating antique carpets. You will then drive to Taroudant, a small town in a side valley called the ‘grandmother of Marrakech’ because it is similar to smaller Marrakech. Arrive in Agadir in the afternoon. End of the Agadir desert tour.
